My find for today, a silver Mercury dime. I always get excited to find some silver, and old coppers to. Found it with vanquish 23 to a 27 ID.

I think the Merc is the prettiest coin we minted. Always a smile when I see the roman God of commerce pop from the soil. we did kinda change the design to be a woman.

Mercs are beauties. Minted from ‘16-‘45. A total of 29 yrs. And look what we have now. Another dead president.🤮 Minted from ‘46- present. 58 yrs! We are long overdue for some better coinage.

1940 (P) Mercury Dime (in not half-bad shape, if I do say so--much better than I would have expected) recovered from my permission. The only cleaning done was lightly wiping off the dirt with a micro-fiber cloth. And yes, I let out a LOUD WOO-HOO, jumped to my feet (as well as a decrepit...
