Mercs, Barber quarter, Canadian silver.... all because I'm a good retriever!

I've been hunting a spot near a popular hangout. While others hit the waterfronty, I hit the grassy fields nearby.

One of the local landowners was watching me one day while I was detecting. She came over and I talked her ear off... about what I was doing, etc. She said that I was very neat, not like the others who come...

I asked her for permission to her land which holds some 100 yr old cottages, and she said "Have at it!".

Plenty of pennies and deep nails were dug.... but, it all paid off in the end.

Costume jewelry... (it's definitely not silver. It came up as 12-22 on the ETrac... I should get it checked out anyway)

My buddy also had success with his new CTX. He found 6 silver as well.

Back we go tomorrow!

Happy hunting.

Those are great finds! Lots of silver = a fabulous day! I'd take that day of finds anytime! I bet there is more to be found there!

Great Job On All The Silvers! It is nice that you are rewarded for how you treat someone else's property even when you don't think anyone will notice! Most of the time the good guys get kicked out of a place because of how others leave things! Way to go! :icon_thumleft:

nice haul of silver!

I agree 100%!

Ty, Gents. I spent a lot of time chasing deep signals... when I didn't really have to. Most of these were around the 6-7" mark. Some even shallower.

I think I'll focus on covering more area tomorrow as my hunt will be shorter (and colder...)

Nice barber

Awesome Silver,Thanks for sharing!!!

wow those are nice!
Is the mouth piece silver?

I'm not sure about the mouth piece. It's quite heavy. I think it's silver plated brass perhaps?

Hey man, big congrats on the Barber!! Those are all great finds, and it sure pays off to be neat and tidy...people do notice.

Thanks J. Cache....

I think it was the 'ole "laying the extra dirt on the towel" trick that sucked her in. hahaha

It always pays to be neat and clean with your digging.
Like you mentioned, you never know who might be
watching you. Congrats on the nice silver coin finds.
Gold Nuggets :hello:
