Found these 2 at the same site as the 1945, would be great to find a 1944 too! Was there almost every day this week and found nothing, then found these 2 close together. Was so relieved to find silver, but realized I might have passed up some in the past because the readings were lower than I had expected. Still learning!

Congratulations on the silver coins. They are always a welcome sight. From what you posted it looks like you are going by the numbers to choose your targets. Most of the time I use a machine that does not have a ready out and when I use one that does I ignore the numbers and go by the tones. I have found that position, depth and how the soil has worked on the coins and jewelry can change the numbers.

I dig lots of trash, but I also dig lots of treasure. If it has a high tone, mid tone or mixed tones I will dig it. I dig lots of tabs, foil and can slaw, but I also dig the small gold and silver and the eaten up Indian head pennies that the soil has worked on.

Just my opinion and what works for me. If this helps you great, if not ignore it. Stay safe, good luck and keep swingin.

Thank you for the advice!!! I will start taking this approach and see what happens. Was trying to save my back, but I’m not passing up treasures.

Congratulations on the silver! Always good to see them recovered. Thanks for posting.
