Can someone tell me what number I'm looking for? A typical mens titanium ring. Im trying to find it on his property. thanks!

at 28kHz freq using the HF coil you should expect a titanium ring to show 60 to 70 depending on the size of the ring. It will sound just like modern trash, which is why they are hard to find in trashy parks.
It has relatively poor conductivity so it should ring up less than gold or aluminum. I would say in the 40's at the frequencies you mentioned (maybe 50 or 60s at 28 khz). Since it is a recent drop, go ahead and turn sensitivity down into the 80's to avoid picking up deeper targets. Using the HF coil at 28 khz coil and in pitch mode might be your best bet. Since it is hard to pin down the exact TID without having a twin as a test target (the actual TID would be dependent on the actual size and alloy composition of the ring), I would not notch anything out for fear of notching out the actual target). Using discrimination is ok as long as you keep iron volume audible. Good luck.
