Men's hammered platnium wedding band

I was using my metal detector in a park today and dug up a hammered platnium men's wedding band. I'm glad because I am going to keep it because I have uploadfromtaptalk1408506814503.jpguploadfromtaptalk1408506830674.jpg needed to get a new one and this one is really good looking. It weighs 8.5 grams and I was wondering what the FA stamp next to the Plat 950 means. Is this a quality ring? I think so but am kind of new to precious metals and most definitely new to this forum. Thanks

either your hand is small or the previous owner was a giant as in Andre his finders were the dia of a 50 ¢ piece...

Nice ring, still looking for my first Platinum here. Congrats !

Hands not small ...ring fits fine no Andre the Giant fingers either.

It might be FG with a slant to the G..It means Fredrick Goldman(A jeweler)...Or Fine Gold..But it isn't Gold..Congrats on the find.

Worth about $350 for scrap...much more if purchased new.

Thank you! That's why I'm keeping it :-) I checked spot on plat today and came up with a rough estimate around $350 as well. Whats crazy is that I found this same ring online on the Zales website and it was going for $1,999.00 new ....goes to show how much mark up there is in jewelry!
