What did it ring on your detector? That is so amazing!!!!! Congrats!

It was a solid 48 on my AT PRO
All metal and iron audio on

Your such a expert on gold coins you could of ID it for him?? LMAO!!
Maybe if it was a WHEAT PENNY you could of...
Well when you find a gold coin you can do whatever you want with it..
Until then hush up!!!!
Ps..Awsome find what ever the condition it was in..I would love to find one...
George
:laughing9: knock it off you kids , one less present from Santa

The outside pic was much better, I could see the letters good. If the piece was cleaned and held so it wasn't upside down I might of been able to ID exactly which ten dollar coin it was. That is a shame you sold it, were you that destitute that you needed the little bit of money you got for it? How much could you have really got for that? Sorry, I guess everybody's situations are different, I just know if I had been as lucky as that, I doubt very much I ever would have sold that.
Great find, I'd be sifting at that site, good luck in the future and keep hitting that place hard.

Wow! Treb!!?!? If I were you I read your words again. That could be interpreted as very harsh and a bit high falootin! ;)

I was assuming they know each other and it was all in good fun. If not then I agree, a little strong.

But back to our regularly scheduled program - congrats on a super find. Not to many of us will ever be so lucky, melted or not!

Yeah I don't think making assumptions about a persons financial status is a road that should be gone down. Some people would much rather have a new rifle than a melted lump of gold. The OP could be a millionaire for all we know. That's the ops prerogative. It's a fantastic find and I'm glad you shared it with us. It's nobody's business but his what he does with it and certainly not our place to make any judgements

....

That's what I was hoping. One thing is sure, Treb wouldn't mean anything bad about it. :) Heck! He might've been the one to buy it! LOL

I don't know anyone on here but wasn't offended either so. No biggie.
I do regret the sale and that's un fixable. But also love the rifle ?
Merry Christmas !

I'da gave you $15 US for it
