Medieval Buckle?

I found this copper alloy buckle at an old farmfield site dating back to the 1300's. The target was located quite deep in the ground. I've looked in books and online but can't quite find something very similar to this buckle. I wonder if it might be as old as late medieval (ca 1500's). It is quite asymmetrical which would suggest that it might be very old. Here are some pictures (ruler is in CM):

If you have any suggestion for identification on this buckle please let me know!
 

Crusader would be the best one to ID something that old. Not much that old here in the states besides my mother in law.

As Bob already mentioned, Crusader would be your go-to-guy for an exact I.D. on your buckle. :thumbsup:
My first impression is 17thc (1600s)... nice find!
