I was hunting my brothers back yard the other day in central PA. His property was once the back yard of an early 1900's farm house that has since split up the property. Along with this I also recovered a 1929 wheatie, still looking for silver.

But, any info on the medallion thing would be greatly appreciated, I can't quite make out the letters, "LB" maybe. Seems to be made of copper if I'm not mistaking. It has some green patina on the back. I have not cleaned it yet and no makers hallmark that I can see.

Thanks for taking a look.

Not a clue, but the detail and craftsmanship tell me it was very well thought of way back when it was made. Excellent find! Reminds me a bit of the face of a watch.

Great find - once cleaned up a little you might be able to see some other marks. Thanks for sharing...

I love it just the way it is !!! I know I'd end up cleaning it in peroxide, eventually. After checking it over with the loupe. Western PA here...We find the coolest things in old backyards here in PA.

Cool find!. . . I'm certain there's some silver hiding on that property.

I'm inclined to think your mystery item MIGHT be part of an initialed pocket watch fob (if it's about the size of a quarter).

It is about the size of a quarter, I forgot to mentions it's size in my post. Thanks for the info, I'll look into that.

I don't know what it is,the detail is very impressive, you should clean it up and you might see more details/marks
