Howdy from Austin,TX. :hello2:

Yes, old structures are neat. Welcome to T-Net! :icon_sunny:

Well, I see y'all got one good thing out of the drought at least. Welcome to T-net, and how'd y'all do at that spot?

I saw a news headline earlier today, didn't get to read it... about the drought, Texas lake, and researchers, looters, rushing to get there. Well, just now typed in looters(Texas lake), into the Google search box to find the article. I'm afraid to read anything of that stuff out there, hate to think public opinion of treasure hunters is getting that bad. Or perhaps, it might just be a few archaeologist or students voicing their opinions. Attaching print screen photo.

I'm not sure if any of that is in your area, but "keep on beeping" and let's all get together for a hunt! Good work guys!!!! :coffee2:

I'll be taking a trip in last 2 weeks of Oct, down your way cowtownkid. Going to be almost in Texas at Murfreesboro, Arkansas. Not sure if there will be time for any metal detecting (mineral hunting), but with Texas so close to my destination...what part of the Texas drought area are you treasure hunting?

Thanks for your PM cowtownkid, glad to hear that you are hunting legally on the lake, with permission and avoiding the forbidden zones. I won't give away your hunting spot to anyone, happy hunting! :icon_thumright:  :icon_thumleft:
