After seeing what the northeast just collected. I figured that maybe an attempt at a last constitutional for '24 might be in order. :)
Sooooo, off I went. Was a bit tough, 32 degrees a bit of wind, but I toughed it out. Hopefully, it'll give those who cant get out, something to read.

and then....there was this novel wrinkle to my usual OTWBTTC scenario.

I was walking across the parking lot and happened to see a piece of paper laying there.

I just figured to be a good citizen and pick it up and put it in my trash pouch.

But, for some unknown reason, I opened the paper up. Maybe to see if it was a lost treasure map? ;}

Barump bump!! And now....you know the rest of the story, Also, the receipt had nothing to do with the area I was in, it was many miles away!
Anyhoo, stay warm out there!

And, thanks for taking time to peek!

(Ya see, Jeff? You don't even need a detector to find treasure!) :angel12:

Congratulations on another productive hunt. I found $7 wrapped up a receipt several years ago. It pays to pick up the trash. Good luck with the weather, stay safe, good luck and keep swingin.

Nice mix.
congrats on squeaking in an outing!
What id fishy eyeing?

Bonus eyeball find of your own.
(I found a clad dime in a city today at the base of some outside stairs..)
I have *always* watched the ground! Even b4 I knew what a detector was! πŸ€“

I wasn't sure what that coin was that Fishy is eyeing. But, after some hard looking, I believe I know what it is...but I won't say. :angel12:

Let it be a puzzle for everyone to figure out here. There is enough info in those pics to identify but, there's a "twist". πŸ˜‰

Thanks!

Ok...guess it was either too obvious or too boring. The strange coin was a nickel that had been squished. Twist it around and you can see Monticello. πŸ‘€

Thanks.

It's snowy and cold here north of the Mason Dixon line, no hunting now. I appreciate seeing the nice finds in your post. Vicarious hunts are nice, and easy, but don't give much exercise! Right now they are the only option for lots of us.

No good deed goes unrewardedπŸ‘

I'd always heard that no good deed goes unpunished. :angel12:
Me too originally, but being a person of faith I prefer to say it that way. πŸ˜€πŸ‘
I imagine someone punching me in the face and I ask "hey what was that for?
They reply "well I heard you helped an old lady across the road yesterday!"
See 😁 it makes no sense the original way! πŸ˜‚
