My experience is that musket balls are lead. Perhaps the gun guys will know of exceptions. Or maybe the big one came off the proverbial brass monkey. Does it get cold enough in Texas to freeze those off? :laughing7:

seems like small milling balls to me, not musket balls away...

Ball bearings? I remember calling them "steelies" when I was a kid playing marbles. NOT musket balls, which are lead.

Well that's why I go to y'all. I wasn't very optimistic that they were. Thanks everyone for the help. HH

The outside does on the bigger one but isn't brass 100% nonmagnetic.

Thanks everyone. I've been kicking myself every since I saw the word lead. Big time Brain Fart on my part. Thanks everyone for not just laughing at me lol. HH

Oh and also I guess there is no way to mark items solved when you are using the iPhone app but that's all I have to use. Just letting everyone know that I'm not leaving these open on purpose. I've been told that even people who didn't start the thread can do it now so anyone feel free. Thanks everyone and HH.

Found these while I was out this morning. I only had an hour but I came up with these. The small one has quite a bit of pitting on it. The big seems strange to me. The outside layer of it seems to be brass but it is still slightly magnetic. Thanks everyone for any help I get. HH

Id say a bearing or marble
