Is this a fishing weight?



I ask because it appears to be lighter than I would figure for a lead weight of this size.
It actually only weighs a third of an ounce.

Just curious if anyone has a similar example.

Also, is it a modern design?

I think you are right with the lead fishing weight sinker.. Probably 60-80 years old..
