You get me started, and I get transfixed on Google Earth. Here are some more for you. These are a little further North in Mexico, not Guatemala.

No Doc,

The longer I stare at Google Earth, the more I feel like I went to the Jacko School of Aerial Reconnaissance. ;D ;D ;D

I know. I spent hours when I first got it, looking in shallow water off the coast of Florida at all the shoals, looking for shipwrecks. Found some interesting looking shapes, but I figured as close as everybody has gone over the Treasure Coast, any wreck visible from Google Earth, would already be charted.

That's when I used it to look for land based stuff. Most of the areas I look in are at 1 meter resolution. That means I can see an Arrastra that's eight feet in diameter! I love it. I can't tell you how much stuff I have found.

Ladies & Gentelmen, I should caution you on using google, or any aerial photos, always orient the picture so that the mts appear as mts and valleys as valleys.

This is easily done if you will always show the low areas as low, i.e. rivers for example as low.

Example, go to

28* 00' 26.16 W
108 56' 57.86 N

This is the location of the Tayopa mining claim monument.

Look at it for a bit, then rotate the picture 180 * for a true rendition of the contours, see what a difference it makes? The rivers appear as rivers, the canyon as canyons and the mts as mts.

I was in Belize a number of years ago and claimed a number of Mayan structures.
I remember that you could get arrested for removing anything unless you have a few dollars to donate.
But the Government came along and wanted to build a new road so what did they do? They took the rocks from the structures, crushed them and used them as bed rock for the new roads and yet.
The KIRKS from Titusville own a Ranch in Orangewalk. In this Ranch house there is tons of Mayan artifacts laying all over the place including Jade statures.
As I understand it you can find artifacts laying everywhere but you cannot take them out of the country( YEA SURE).
I think I will Google this and see what I can see.
Thanks for bringing back some memories everyone.

Hi everyone, I am new to treasure hunting and would love to go on an expedition to search for this temple. Does anyone have anymore details that would help out. Hopefully there are others that are considering searching for it that i could meet.

You have the same clarity. Mine's no different.

Just go to the Lat and Long I gave. I can't make out any structures. There may be, but unless you put boots on the ground, and do some heavy cutting, we'll never know.

Here is the road in relation to Jose's Coordinates.

Mike

about an 8.6 mile hike to get there from that road..
