Bought these at a clean grandpa's stuff out by the older adult children. I anticipate they may be reproductions sold to tourists but what I was told is they are from his wandering years. Unusual collective mix of purportedly Aztec or Mayan artifacts, any experts out there that can verify authenticity?

Interesting collection there, sorry I have no knowledge on stuff like this. That said we do have some knowledgeable people on here who should be able to give you some information.

BTW, welcome from Panama City, Florida to TNet and the madness and addiction that goes with hunting relics and trying to ID them.

Welcome to Tnet.

Personally, I'm doubtful about the antiquity of those pieces, although the bead (spindle whorl?) looks like it might be authentic.

The items in pictures 7, 36 and 37 (and some of the other pictures where you’re showing the hollow interior) are not artefacts. They’re “Stigmaria” fossils, most commonly from the Pennsylvanian period. Stigmaria is a “form genus”, where the assignation is largely based on the shape and appearance of what we find, rather than a true assignation to actual genera or species of plants. We don’t have nearly enough information for detailed assignment to individual plant species. Nevertheless, we’re pretty sure that they represent portions of “Lycopsid” trees such as Sigillaria and Lepidodendron. The circular marks were the attachment points for bristle-like rootlets.

I am not an expert on your items, but believe all, or most all , are from South America. Some look authentic & some don't.
As Red Coat said, those items at the bottom are Stigmaria fossils.

I can't speak to the authenticity of the items, but picture number 8 seems to show Mayan howler monkeys and the feathered serpent Mayan god Kukulcan.
