Maxwell automobile radiator emblem

Found this cool Maxwell Auto radiator badge. they made the cars from 1904 to 1925 and was acquired by
Walter Chrysler..

I sold a non dug Maxwell emblem on ebay for around $80 and a regal motor car one I found for $300.
Clean it carefully because sometimes they have value. Good find!

An expert on restoring these things to see what my options

Well I talked to an expert on these things and the one I have is a little older then the one I have seen in some of the pictures. this one would cost me about 300.00 to restore and I might get more than that on ebay or I might not. You just never know about auctions. I would of coarse have a reserve on it so I wouldn't sell too low. She says it's all a matter of how much they want it..

That's great news about the evaluation Rich! Seems like a lot of money to pay for a complete restoration though. . . I wonder if you can find someone locally a little more affordable? That way you might stand to make some good money if you one day you decided to sell.

Very nice - Jack Benny had a Maxwell car on his radio show. His character was supposedly a tightwad, and a Maxwell was funny because it was a company that no longer made cars at that time. Sort of like someone driving an unrestored Studebaker Lark today. Congrats.
