Found this at the CTH Hunt. Looks to be solid copper, possibly enameled at one time. Appx. 1" x 2" in size, about 1/16" thick. Some sort of Masonic medal or the like ? I have found some similiar, but not quite right. Writing on banner is something like "RO*LOPI SUVE(A)..very hard to read, so use your imagination there. If you have any ideas, let me know.
Thanks,
Brad

I recently came into possession of some of my Dad's personal effects. One of the items is this same freemason badge as above. It's dated 1907 which makes no sense since my Dad, a freemason, wasn't even born yet. My Grandfather (also a freemason) was only nine years old in 1907 so I seriously doubt it was his either. I'm unaware of my great grandfather ever having been a freemason.

Can anybody explain how these badges would have been obtained or given out originally? In other words did one have to attend the event or in some way earn it?

The only other related info I was able to find is here:

Thank you for this! Just a little light reading there! Took minute to figure out that you can't just copy the link into the browser as it's truncated. And of course my badge is 1907 so it's not in the above. Anyway, thanks again.
