Obviously we all can see these 2 pictures, but no description or anything opens the door for guesswork! A narrative about this would be nice so we all know whats happening.........Rich

the ring was in the box, in the jar? odd, and cool.

In beaver county PA on top of a cliff near I hiking trail. I was digging up everything that gave I hit and I started digging on this, medium tone, and I saw the jar which I thought was a bottle at first upside down. Just figured it was the cap setting off the detector. I pulled the bottle out and realized it was sealed and could see the box inside. The rusty cap unscrewed, took out the box ad opened to reveal this ring. No notes, no markings on the jewelry box.

Good job, can't make out the markings on the ring though, blurry. Anything markings on the inside of the ring, and what does the front of the ring look like? Northumberland County here...................Rich

It reads "I LOVE YOU" on both sides. There's a 10k marking. I need to examine it closer when I get home. I had a birthday party to come to.

LOL I'm going to guess that Love Soured :laughing7:

Nice cache Find
