Went out to an old house site that has been there since the slavery days, and found a few things! The house is still occupied so there were a ton of targets. We only hit it for about 2 hours, and only went for the solid hits. Found 2 silvers (my first silver and my dad's first silver - his was the mercury :BangHead:), 3 wheaties (my first), a commemorative token, a button and some other odds and ins. The first thing I saw when I pulled the token out was the 1801 date on it...that had my heart going for a second. I knew it was a cheap metal from the weight though so I was skeptical. I did a little research and it looks like it may have been made of bronze/aluminum in the 1960s. Bummer! Didn't find anything from the 1800s, but there's still a lot more ground to cover!

The button says 'Squeeze' twice and has a big 'S' in the middle. Doesn't look like something too old as far as I can tell. Haven't done any research yet. Can't get any pictures of the wheat pennies uploaded but the dates are 1951, 1951 and 1953.

HH!

Nice silver finds! Congrats on the wheat cents too! You'll break the 1800's barrier next hunt! GL. HH!
