The Treasure Beaches Report Direct From Florida's Treasure Coast.: 12/13/16 Report - Treasure In The Indian River Lagoon. read this guys....when I lived in vero we would find arrow heads on the spoil islands....we would have parties on the island. Everybody would ferry out by small boat and drink and camp. Then in the mid to late 80s we had a horrible boat wreck under the 17th street bridge....2 of my friends died and 2 others were severely injured. We never went back out there again....my girlfriends face was surgically repaired to better than new....she lost the majority of her front teeth in the crash. I'd get back out there now if I was up there though !!

Were you hurt Bart?

No sir.....we were waiting for a ride out to the island....no one ever showed.....we found out in the morning and we saw all the rescue activity as we drove home over the bridge that night. It was a tough time for the entire community....later I dated one of the girls involved. Fist time dealing with the death of close friends....think I was a junior in HS.

Its out there....not always where people think !!Screenshot_20210107-191028_Chrome.jpg

The sea will always be alive, whether we are or not. You're killin it down there Bart. Keep it up!

WTG nice finds ,,this area may be where the early explorers landed on our shores, perhaps there might be a treasure chest hidden in the mangroves

I knew that would mark !! Coming home from keywest on friday....would love to team up and hit some of the spots we always talk about !!

Blak Bart,,I think one day after a storm in one of these places with mangroves you will find a large piece of one of those Spanish galleons peeking out of the water.,,Ever Upward my friend

I have found the whole keel of an 1800 ship up in the mangroves once....I should go back and look for that again....onwards and upwards bill !! Good luck my friend !!

Lots of goods there bart. Congratulations.

Thanks rook....can't wait to get a day off to hunt....im fishing my arse off right now.

7mm roger.

The case has a belt, that little step near the rim.If it says 7mm,probably a 7mm Remington Magnum not a lot of taper to them, maybe not apparent in the pic and due to the deteriorated condition.Like this thread dude!Way to go!

Yup....but wow there's alot of looking around that wallmart....thats not the river. A good permission from any surrounding businesses might be interesting.....I think the bulldozer hoard as its called was 200+cobbs !!

Yes, on a sand ridge until the construction. Never understood why the operator spoke up. And what happened to the hoard and did the operator get a share from the state?

That spot was about a mile from the river. Imagine how many of these are still around in an undisturbed piece of land. Thats the hard part, well permission is the harder part. When the Roseland shopping area was built that area was engineered into a retention pound and like sphillips said, county owned.
