Like the little pulley block find, and the large spikes.
So what's your go to tool for those mangrove tree roots?

Bart, why all the silverware in the middle of nowhere & in a small area ?

Yesterday it was a driftwood stick....I forgot my digger !! Normally I like a claw hammer, or a 3 pronged garden tool....its against the law to cut or damage the mangroves so its careful digging under and around roots. I hunt the areas that mother nature naturally exposes through tides, wind, and waves....my target area was un detectable due downed trees, sea weed, and fresh undergrowth. The shore line is in constant change here...so I found this spot by accident while prospecting for new ground !!

Im not sure ???? Brand new spot roger. Possible old settlers spot....maybe a wrecker salvage camp....maybe a shipwreck survivors spot ?? Maybe all of those have happened here. Nice to find new ground !!

With all those forks just lying around Maybe the remains of an old dwelling nearby ? Thinking forks would get hung up in underwater vegetation to of traveled to far ???

I know....pretty exciting.....ill be exploring it more in the future. Marked on the map...on to the next spot for now !!

Anybody recognize this dish thingy ?? I think it might be one of those fancy ashtrays with the lighter attached ?? Really not sure what it is?

16098559561613053842888809007635.jpg it was a live round...the tapered neck and bullet fell off....I dumped the powder and hit it with a lighter....it still went off in a flash....my 8 year old son was impressed.

I've got to clean it up a bit to read it.

7mm roger.

??? 7mm has a tapered case ???

Wow! Loved the video. I now want to kayak in a mangrove. Looks so peaceful. Loved the old utensils!

Thank you claire....everyone hits the soft white sand....no one wants to go in the mangroves...I have it to myself mostly. Sooner or later you stumble on some treasure back in those swamps !!

Nice little spot and finds, Bart! I, also, like the pulley. When we were on the island in Belize, we were in a small patch of tree roots on the shoreline. Mostly picking up trash, but also looking for cool stuff. My friend stuck her hand in the water to pick something up and got stuck with a syringe. Kinda scary. Be careful out there.

Dang Bart!
What the heck has been goin on in the mangroves?
Shore lunch/picnic? Taking on fuel/firewood for a steamer? Woodcutting party?
Thieves hideout?

The mix of silverware includes the dainty/fancy stuff. Maybe a thief didn't know much of it was plated at first?
It would have been a formal picnic with choice eats to need those type utensils. Pickle or olive forks? Who brings them in a swamp? L.o.l..
Not iguana on a stick stuff anyways.:laughing7:

Bart.
This is where you wanna bring a small boat to explore. If I were a 1715 survivor,or a pirate,or a really mean hurricane this is where I would of hid the "Loot" :) Easy in & out to the ocean via Sebastian Inlet, and easy to find again. 002.JPG.:treasurechest:

Sebastian River, may be Roger, you never know. The island gets pretty narrow in that area, easy to haul (haulover) a small craft to explore.
