If you look a bit more around the net you'll find other people selling manganese nodules. I don't know how authentic any of them are *shrugs* so caveat emptor.

I guess I should speak up on this one, lol. I'm currently exploring two really old Manganese pit mines. The photo you showed does appear to be a nodule. They are difficult to come by as such because Mn is almost always associated with Fe or another element and is not found as a free form in nature; but more or less a by-product.

Here are a few photos of the Manganese associated iron ore I've dug up:

This ore would have to be processed to removed the Mn. Nodules are really neat and I think you should scoop this one up. -Luke

I have seen a lot of manganese nodules from the Atlantic around the Blake plateau but they were always more rounded and where from golf ball size to basket ball size. This one doesn't look like any I have seen before but it could be one. There is usually
some thing like a piece of shell or even a shark tooth in the center that the nodule has nucleated around.
