Especially in the Deep South's main detecting season (other than water ) .

It really is looking like the Thread I made 3-4 years ago about "The Civil War Relic BOOM TIME IS OVER" has come to pass .

I know many still find 'fine' relics & maybe post on FB or other platforms , BTW I quit FB cause I don;t like their ethics or lack there of , so I miss a-lot of local relics & news.

Oh well it is what it is , Good Luck to everyone out their wokin hard for what they find .

I think in the south it is getting scarce. I see sights all the time being covered up. When I do go out and dig say just one bullet I don't post same as when I just find one arrowhead. I have not had any spectacular hunts I guess.
But... I always go thinking it will be a spectacular hunt! I hunt all winter then I roll into fishing in late January. I am still processing deer I have ageing.
I have to think the new site is better. You can easily posy pictures where as before we had a hundred people a day asking how to do that. You can zoom in on an item and I like that.
Facebook gives away to much info and unless you want to jump through the hoops of Youtube forums are still the best.
This site has a civil war section which is not to be confused with todays finds but often is.
Davers I will try to post more this year and is there not a Cw show in Dalton or somewhere coming up?

Yea , 1 fired Minnie / 31-36 cal Ball makes for a good day , Native American Finds are rare for me here in N Cobb , + I don't have an eye for them . I was never a Big Picture poster & don't expect you or anyone to post every little find , but post away & ill be glad to look .

Yes the Dalton show is in a couple weeks I think , I'd like to go & grab some riker cases & look around , heck Ill may even spend the night ?

Time will tell .

It's a tiny spot. There were chicken houses on top of it and they are now gone. It will be dig a hole kind of hunt.

Thats a great idea on grouping them by site. I have a few relics that I can't remember exactly
which site i found them on.

I do the same "everything by site found " it makes things a tad harder but it helps me to be able to look back in history and see what troops were in certain areas . I need a-lot of small 3 X 4 Type cases for those 1 or few relics sites . GD

Great pictures thanks for posting , I have some 200 baggies , cig packs , rubber gloves full of CW finds that I still need to sort through , I just wish my 14 y/o or wife cared enough to get excited with me when I rediscover all these finds .
