Haven't seen one tapered like that. Leaning more towards ornamental cap for something.

I was thinking the same. The others I found didn't look so ornate either. It also seems kinda big for lipstick.

Could be, they look similar but none are as ornate. Im stumped on this one.

none that I posted....buggys were like cars....the fancy folks showed off and the simple folks wished they could.people are still the same that way....also there were custom buggy makers doing one off work...just like today...Its still just a guess but if the hollow end measures 7/8" 1" 1 1/8" or 1 1/4" than even more possible from what I have just read.

cheers

It just screams 60s IMo

How old is your house? What are the age of other items found?

I'm thinking 60s ish too. My mom lived here as a child and I'm thinking it may be here but have not gotten around to asking her yet.

As far as the other items it's strange because for the longest time the oldest thing I found here was a 1959 cent but then this year some older stuff popped up. First a unidentifiable large cent then a 1909 Indian head cent.

What is the total length? What is the diameter at the open end? Is the metal thick or thin? Can you post a pic of the open end.

:)
