My parents were avid treasure hunters. They found a lot of odds & ends up in the gold country of California and also along the coast on the beaches. I was going thru some of the odds & ends of artifacts that they left & I came across these old pottery pieces. Because they look tumbled I'm thinking they found them along the beach somewhere around the San Francisco area. Could the rectangular item be a Mahjong tile? I've never seen one made of pottery but perhaps the poorer people couldn't afford bone or ivory. It has remnants of green glaze on the top plus small bits of glaze on each of the sides. The item with the red glaze looks like it had to have been from a flat, footed plate that would only have been about 4" across. What do you guys think these might have been?
