i used to have a 5lb. army surplus horshoe magnet i dragged metal up with years ago. keep trying.
 

need to fish a more "hood"type of lake for the good stuff i guess
 

I tried that once with a SUPER strong neodymium magnet I had. Sucker LATChED onto something and I couldn't pull it up. Finally broke the rope pulling on it.

I suspect engine block involvement. :icon_scratch:

had my wetsuit and mask with just in case,had something solid and i was just about to jump in when it pulled free.we even slowly trolled with it.you can see in the pic i wraped it in duct tape,good thing ya wouldn't believe the amount of small rust particles that were attached to it
 

i had thought about that several years ago had not since it looks like you could find some interesting finds keep us posted dennis
 

Since most of the water is ankle deep around here these days, it don't hurt to walk through it, pretty much anywhere you are and have at it. Water's warm! Walk in!
