I think it's what used to be called (during WWII) a 'trench' lighter, and it was manufactured in Austria, not Australia. Here's a history of the company.

Edit: The first IMCO lighter was developed between 1918 and 1919 and in 1922 the first patent was registered, No. 89538. I suggest that your number, "105107" is a patent number from a year more recent than 1922.
