Machine gun

Do you need of some type a license to cell a reproduction?

No.. it's not a firearm.

If it's not a firearm; I'm pretty sure it's a blank gun.

Its a repro. Replica gun or a blank firing model. Made in late 60s early 70s probably 1968. 600-800 $ some have sold as high as 2000$. Lots of info online. Didn't dig to far but searched "mgc 68 mp-40" beautiful replica gun, buy it from her and resell it, or hang it on wall.

What Black Bart said....

Hey.. I think this is a very good find; one of those finds that does not happen very often. It should resale very quick. Ok.. I'm done;I just got excited about this.

Eh, I told her what it was, I think she wants to keep it. She said it's been in her family for ever and her sons a marine so she kind of wanted to pass it on to him anyways.

Awesome! Good decision in my opinion.

Please let us know if its real or a toy......

If its real... they are legal in specific states and you have to purchase a federal class 3 tax stamp/license to own it. I was a gun dealer for over 20 years. Machine guns are legal here in Oregon. My son and I went to last years 27th annual machine gun shoot last spring here in Oregon and there were more than 200 full auto guns there to shoot. All you had to do was buy the ammo and shooting whatever gun you wanted was free. We are going again this year. Great event!

if a legit MP 40 machine pistol ( capable of full auto fire) its big bucks -- and it will require a class 3 federal permit "tax stamp" to own legally -- if t a repo copy only capable of single shot fire (semi auto) --1 bullet per trigger pull --its a "normal gun" no tax stamp needed and you only need to be able to legally own a gun to have it --- blank firing repo "guns" also are no big deal --but if it can fire real bullets "auto fire" more than 1 bullet per trigger pull -- it is a big deal legally as it a real machine gun and requires special permitting to own

oh and DROOL DROOL

As stated it is a "blank firing" replica but a really cool piece. Id have bought it if the price was fair.

Real or replica they scare me!

You should be scared to get into your car and drive down the road or to eat fast food.. or be scared of prescription medication... I can see that.

Guns ... you should not be scared of.
