This is nothing I would ever expect to see at someone's house but of course I get a call to go look at coins and she wanted to know if I was interested in this? I see a little bit about them on Google however I'm not sure if I have a repo or if it's even functional. But I'm surprised to see it with an original box. My question is, is it worth anything? Should I even consider buying it or just leave it for her to deal with?

if it is real I think they are illegal

however if you come across a working lever action 30-30 for a low price I might buy it from you

holie moley I just googled it
if real it's worth thousands

If real you need proper documentation to own.. (class 3 firearms stamp)

I wanted the box... didn't happen. The owner said that she found it out in the woods when she was a kid. And she's probably in her 50s now.

Too cool. Did she have a figure on it?

I think they're illegal to have. And I probably didn't do any good with this post.

That gun is worth a small fortune !!! If its real.looks like repro. Post a pic of the trigger and safety mechanism. Should have fire selector safe, semi, full auto if real. Looks to good to be true. You never know though.

you are correct, we at the nsa have flagged you ( I'll see what I can do)

I think it's a Blank Gun... you should have bought it. Go get that thing!

Not illegal. Just have to have proper documentation if real

It's a knock off. The #s are not right. I believe.

Many were made as toys in the 50's...

Go buy that thing!!

then buy it, it would be a great wall hanger

Its a repro. Replica gun or a blank firing model. Made in late 60s early 70s probably 1968. 600-800 $ some have sold as high as 2000$. Lots of info online. Didn't dig to far but searched "mgc 68 mp-40" beautiful replica gun, buy it from her and resell it, or hang it on wall.

I wouldn't be able to get the (3) hundred dollar bills out fast enough!!
A friend of mine, a gunsmith with the proper license, sold a real one for 12,000 a few years ago.

IF on the way home you get pulled over for speeding, don't wave it around
