LowDown On AT Pro

I'm a rather new user of the AT Pro with about 4 months of experience. I have been detecting most everyday since February 2010. I have and still do own 3 high end machines from Sweethome.

All of this rhetorical drama concerning the Pro and it's problems seems to stem from the fact it leaks when submerged fully in water for a period of time. I sincerely feel that the Pro has no more problems than any other first run machine in the detector market place. If you have doubts just ask some of the high end detector users with the programable machines costing upwards of $2000.00 what kinds of problems they have experienced and hoe good the service for it was. You might be a little surprised.

I must say that I have never had to use the Garrett service but my experience with another manufacturer is every bit as exceptional as the Garrett folks have become. The unit has a two year warranty for god sakes, these are the reasons there is a warranty, use it.

I have used my AT Pro for about 4 months, at least 3 to 4 hours per day, almost every day. It has never failed me yet. No upgrade, no service repairs. I beat it up, get it wet at the beach, ( never completely submerged) and it keeps on ticking.

I have gone through 10 to 15 sets of batteries. I use both the sniper coil and standard, no leaks what so ever.

Now the good part. I have found 9 rings, over 600 quarters, 3 silver dollars, 5 silver charms, 9 silver coins and a box load of other little treasures. I have found more with this machine than with my 4 other machines combined.

Sure there are some things I do not like about the machine, but I can live with those things when it works the way it does.

To me the best $594.00 machine on the market.

You cannot please all of the people all of the time.

I have approximately

Just how many questions are you going to ask about the AT Pro, call Garrett for goodness sake and let them tell you everything you want to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ???

You get facts from the dealers and manufacturers. I like to hear both sides of the story. Hear it from the users too.
I can read a manual, but sometimes you don't always see it all or read it correctly.

As a consumer I need to know all the info. on a product to see how it compares to the others.
What it can do and what it can't do. It's strong points and it's limitations.
I don't know about you but I work hard for my money and I am very conscientious on how and what I spend it on.
I don't see a consumer reports for metal detectors either, so why not talk it out with the users of the products.
Sounds good to me.

Isn't that why we have this forum? :)

Yes that is why we have the Tnet forum..................To find out what others think of the detectors they use.................... The good points and bad points............

Been using my AT Pro for about a month now, try to avoid letting waves crash into it while water hunting by keeping it above the little smashers or into the big swells and so far no leaks. The ground balancing will go crazy sometimes and you can tell by the sounds it squawks that its out of balance, I just put it back to factory settings and ground balance again then go! Pro mode zero is all I use and this works well for me. To each their own! HH!
