Love My Bazooka

I dunno about the 16, I have the super-mini but am wishing I went bigger. Lots of classifying and material build up compared to the bigger ones. The larger snipers look to be more of what i was hoping to get in the super mini.

I think I have heard enough to know I will buy a Sniper.

Love my bazooka! Was a great day to get out and feed the 36" bgt. Dug down to bed rock and cleaned it up with my gold sucker. Ran about 15 or so 3/4 full buckets, got one little round picker and some decent smaller stuff. Thanks again for making it out today Aufisher! Was way cool to meet your dad, what a super nice guy! Had an awesome time image.jpgimage.jpg

Nice take! Put me to shame lol

Same here, nice job htd!

Man, I knew that was a good spot when I saw it I should have dug there instead of the hole I dug to the left, Glad you hit it. It will be even better when the water drops and there's not so much water filling the hole. Love seeing that black covered gold too.....still the only creek in the county where I find it ....good hole, Hangtown....glad me having your snuffer on accident didn't impede your mining.....:laughing7:.

Thanks AU, you definitely got some good pieces too, I had about one and a half hours on you and was able to dig close to the bazooka. Went back out today so haven't got to weigh it yet.
Hey thanks Kevin, appreciate it.I saw the 1/4 gram you took from a couple hours of sampling, nice job to you too! That's some great looking color and cool pictures. Sounds like your on a good spot, even here in the motherlode I would be happy with a 1/4 gram take for a couple hours of enjoyable work!
Goldwasher thanks for pointing it out, glad I dug it too! Yea ground water didn't help, probably would have only got half that much without my gold sucker.. That black gold is sweet, AUfisher and his dad found a pure black piece we had to look at it hard for a minute before we could say "oh yea it's gold!" Snufferless didn't hinder mining at all but the black sand was so thick it took me a half hour to clean it from the gold, was good practice but yea... ill be needing that snuffer back asap! Lol

Great looking gold! Sounds like a blast you all had!
I went out on Saturday for two hours and got some fishing weights, a couple keys, lots of lead shot, and .23 grams of gold. Nice having a scale to exactly measure each outing now.
BGT 48" is not staying put for me, I need to do the bend out legs that one feller from here did and try that, or at least spend a little more time on the pinch. :)

Now you just need to find the car to go with those keys and you'll have had an amazing prospecting day! Seriously, congrats on a productive outing :) We'd love to see pics of the site and or the gold! Were you down in Denver metro or up in the mountains or ? To make the Bazooka stay put if often just put a rock on top of the side of it (supported by a rock next to it of course). Those hold-downs look like a good idea too of course, just haven't tried it myself.

Right in the Platte! I didnt have enough rocks under or enough side rocks on top, it kept tilting one way or the other. I Just need to practice more.
I meant to take some pics, here is a crappy pic of the gold and a cool grizzly (Out of an old microwave, go figure) i'm using on the shovel load area on the front of the sluice, keeps me from having to poke at them with the shovel or go up and around to unload and or move them off the backend of the sluice they're right there for me to rinse and add to the wing dam.

Edit: The grizzly sits perfectly on the front of the BGT, I just have some big alligator clips to hold it in place

Mush as I love my stock Bazooka, I may have to try a grizzly like that...seems smart.

Congrats on the productivity level in the S Platte, that's as good as the dredgers used to do on a per hour basis...BA-Zoooo-KA! ( back before the dredgers figured out that all motorized stuff is banned in city parks, etc of course) I've seen some really good results in the S Platte since the big storms last September, silver lining to all the flooding I suppose :/
