***I tried to post this in the 2015 annual finds but it says I don't have permission, maybe someone can move it for me thanks***
Well it's over! It was a pretty decent season and I had lots of fun. Getting a DEUS really kicked things up a notch. I found some "bucket list coins" and some of my best relics ever. It was an unusually long season, March 16th to November 16th! I found 662 coins equaling $40.10, and 41 of them are silver. Here are some of the things I found.
My first ever Victoria quarters were in the same hole with an 1886 Victoria dime-my oldest Canadian silver ever. Also had a silver GeorgeV in that hole too. Yeah, it was a pretty good spill for me I'd say.
One of my fav relics is this Indian Wars era hat badge.
I was also pleased with this 1890's bridle rosette with what I think is a hand etched depiction of a Native American.
Another war relic, the France And Germany Star for service in WWII
Some odds and ends
Some tokens, and an aluminum Nazi coin
Old copper and nickels
My silver coin count was down slightly, but the ratio of OLD ones was way up. I found more Barbers and Vickies than ever this season. Out of all my coin finds silver was up to 6.2 percent.
It's been a fun season seeing everyone's finds on this site, and sharing my own. I already can't wait for 2016, heading to England at the end of March!!!
