Hello folks,

I recently went on yet another river treasure hunting dive. Found tons of nice sunglasses, masks, snorkels, jewelry (a ring and earrings), an iPhone and a bunch of other cool stuff. I also found a toy snake while diving in the dark water...and it was a tense moment or two! The visibility here, even with a light, is 1 to 1.5 feet max, so this thing emerged from the darkness right in front of me.

Here are some images for those who do not want to watch a video:

That’s a nice haul, congrats.

Nice finds. I still have a smart phone found 12 inches deep in a volleyball court that I have given up on trying to return. No one would return my calls.

Sounds like you had fun. How come I never find toy snakes?

Great finds! How much is scuba gear you'd use for something like this? Live in Chicago, want to try this in the Lake, so many people lost things on 4th of July I'm sure. I have a crappy little mask but i can never breath that long because the water is pretty deep.

Nice dive.Hey, I think that 10 is mine :)

Nice hunt. I think when I saw the toy snake I would have filled that place with my absence. :icon_thumright:

Great finds, congratulations! :occasion14:

It depends a lot on the type of gear, if you need a dive computer, how much you're buying new, type of certification, etc. Its about 350 to 400 for certification usually, the BC and regs, if buying new, 1k on average, then you need a wetsuit, boots, a hood, etc...maybe another 300 bucks or so. You can also just rent gear for a while after certification.

Wow!! I wonder how you would do if you were actually using a metal detector and/or a sifter.
Let's find out! GoPro is attached to the Tiger Shark and ready to go!
