Help! I am offering a reward for help searching for my wedding band. We were married just this last weekend, we are on the honeymoon.Reward will be more than the value of the ring in USD. I am certain of the area it is located, less than 2,000sqft in size and under water. If you know of anyone in the Quintana Roo area with the equipment please forward my message to them.

Good luck, what ever you do, DO NOT reveal the exact location on open forum.

It might be pretty tough to find someone you can trust to do it there in Mexico. I'd try to find a U.S. tourist with a detector there in Cancun, or, maybe someone off a cruise ship by Cozumel. Good Luck!

Now wait a minute. if he is offering more then the value of the ring he is being over generous

probably family heirloom or something with sentimental value

I wish i could go - I return them for free - good karma
few yrs ago i was down there -found and returned one at sun set
next morning first step in water at sunrise - bang...first target was a gold band
it has happened a lot to me

this guy lives in Belgium now but used to be manager of this resort
met his wife here 5 yrs earlier - she worked for hotel too
they work for same company still - went here for 5th anniversary
they went to waters edge - took their wedding bands off and stuck them in wet sand
with their names - wife grab her band and walked away - husband thought she
grabbed his too and they started walking away - he put his hand out for his
and she said "I THOUGHT YOU WOULD GRAB YOURS!"
they turned to see water surge up and suck it out into the shallows
they tried to find it along with others on waters edge that saw it happen
I had just checked in and was trying to get out and hunt before the sun went down
They saw me and practically carried me off to where they had lost his
told my GF to start filming - she went back to towel to get her phone
I turned my CZ21 on and stepped in - only took a couple of swings
I had it back in his hand before she could turn camera on
I turned down all rewards they offered but he did manage to get our info
from the hotel (he manages one some where else - did not believe he managed this one
but everybody came up to both of them and shook hands with them and hugged them that worked there
and bout a month after getting home we received a care package
from Belgium with all kinds of goodies

why would you delibrately take your ring off and stick it in a sandy beach anywhere anytime?

Unlikely, that was the OP's one and only post.

Any updates on this lost ring ?

T H This is a real serious question . Why would you not want to reveal the location if they are offering more then the rings actual Value ?

Because we have hundreds of guests who are not members and telling the exact location may cause item to be found and not returned. It is like posting I lost $1,000 in the front yard of 1802 Main St Beach Town Florida.

Also, no reward value was given and the member never returned to even read if anyone was interested either. Was something even lost or is it a joke?

but they POSTED a reward more then the REWARD VALUE of the RING ?

I know a guy who will not return ANYTHING he has found for ANY price. He considers it his TREASURE and will give everything he finds to his grandchildren after he dies. He almost went to jail one time refusing to return a lost item. He managed to convince the court that what he found wasn't what was reported lost (even though I and several others he showed the item to know different) We think he swapped in a purchased junk look-a-like and kept the original. He no longer shows any of his finds to anyone.

There are always exceptions but i do not think that is the normal

This guy is definitely not normal! :laughing7:
