Lost Rhoades mine

I am very interested in the lost Rhodes mine it is supposed to be the source for all the gold in the Mormon temple in Salt Lake City

I'm very curious myself. That's why I started this thread. LOL. Evidently the location was revealed to Rhoade's son and has been lost when he [the son] died. People have been searching the general area where it was supposedly located without any apparent luck.

There is quite a bit of info online about the lost Rhodes mine or mines, and one theory has it that Rhodes found his gold in California not Utah. Here are a few links for anyone not familiar with this legend:
Lost Rhoades Mine How to find it!

Lost Rhoades Mine - Part 1

Where Brother Brigham Got The Gold To Build Up Zion

It is a fact that the Mormons established their own mint in Utah and produced gold coins, besides the gold on top of the Temple. The source of this gold (allegedly) was from the Rhodes mine(s).
