Lost Gold at an Alaskan Mine in 1939, maybe thousands of ounces

Wow mist be the writer of the book trying to make sales so if no one owns it can I metal detect it???

The author passed away back in the 90's.

Do uou own the claim still and can I pay to metal detect it and split anything I find

There isn't an exact area. The whole area they were mining was over 130 square miles. Huge area and extreme terrain. There are theories of where the gold may be hidden, but nobody actually knows. I think I know who the original poster of this was and if it is who I think it is, he has since passed away as well.

Sounds like it would be a fun treasure hunt though!
