My Father had a few arrowheads he found on his farm when he was a teenager! When he went off to college, my grandmother threw them away in the creek, or got rid of them, or buried them, or sold them – all these rumors I have heard all my life and everybody thought they were long gone! I have looked for this rumored treasure for years. My Dad was disappointed at the time because his mother thought they were a useless box of rocks, but it was important to him! Not too long ago, late one night, while helping tear my grandparent’s house down, with a flashlight, an old Sinclair Wooden Cigar box surfaced in the rubble under the center of the house. The house sat very close to the ground with no room for a crawlspace…My curiosity opened the box and WOW….with a rat or squirrel’s nest built inside the box over the years, (8) arrowhead points surfaced!! Then it hit me – this is the rumored arrowhead collection of my Dads!!! I brought the box to my parents and asked did he recognize it? He didn’t. As he looked inside, the smile on his face was priceless! He was 21 last time he saw the arrowheads, now he is 73. Which goes to show a rumored treasure can be found!!!! a11 003.jpg a11 009.jpga11 008.jpga11 005.jpga11 012.jpga11 021.jpg
