I went thru Lorain Oh a year or so ago and I saw a big beach area. I was hoping someone could tell me what the rules was for metal detecting there. Would like to take a week end hunt but need to know if it is OK to detected there with out a permit....Thanks Matt

That's in my neck of the woods. I believe these are maintained by the Cleveland Parks and Rec dept.. If I am not mistaken You need a permit to detect there. I live about 20 minutes South of the lake. Straight down Highway 58.

Hi Loco-D we may head up Friday morning as I took a v day from work thinking about spending the night, no permit needed to detect the beach area not allow to dig in grass. If we do head come on up and lets some detecting..... I will more later this week. Matt
