Article also mentions that taking high capacity magazines out of circulation would have a positive impact as would no loophole background checks. Are you in favor of those?

I didn't think the feds were calling for a ban, ever

I thought it was the white house, Criminals & special interest that wants weapons out of
citizens hands

but then I have non, so I don't read everything on it

"assault weapons" are not a major contributor to gun crime,no significant link between "assault weapons" and murders,
{ restricting large capacity magazines has a "great potential to reduce lethality" } This surely is double speak in my book,I always thought guns were supposed to be lethal.

Not at all. Handguns have ALWAYS been the biggest contributor to gun related homicides. I dont think there has ever been any question or debate about that?? Most homicide occur in urban areas, you are obviously not walking the streets with your AK over your shoulder - not yet at least.

So your point is that we should make handguns illegal because they cause far more deaths?
