Bought my at pro last summer from bart. Awesome machine.
Looking to upgrade and get myself a new machine and give this one to the old lady.
I have been looking at a few models. safari ,etrac, f75, t2 , or a dfx , any input is greatly appreciated. im pretty much an all around hunter. coin/jewelry/relic and i sometimes hit the beach. but i have the atpro for wading purposes.
thanks again.

Ok thanks.

Don't have to be a new unit. Minelabs Explorers are killer machines. I've used Garretts, and Whites units also. Working my Explorer 2 nice and slow will out deep them all on siver coins. I've side by sided it with other detectors and I'll never get another unit until someone shows me in person that brand x will hit deeper. Of course I've had it since 04 and know its "talk". Gold is its weakness... Small gold just don't hit as hard. But it's not setup to be a deep gold seeker. Minelabs are great machines. There's one out there with your name on it. ;)

You want serious depth. lol try a tesoro cibola or vaquero. with 12x10 coil. Even with the cibola and stock coil I have pulled quarters at 15 and 18 inches on the beaches of ocean city maryland going from dry sand to wet sand. Those 2 units have blown my mind as far as depth goes.

I saw a youtube video of a tesoro vacquero (I think) and an etrac. The guy doing the testing owned both, and if I remember correctly the vaquero was going to be his backup. The vaquero impressed me in that video in some of the tests he conducted. I cant remember the exact video, but the tesoro was getting solid hits on deep targets and he was swinging the coil a good 3 or 4 inches off the ground. Try to find it, it is worth watching.
