I'll be in the Prescott Arizona area headed into the Bradshaw Mtns (first i want to check out a place called Turkey Creek just south of Prescott). Arriving there around the first two weeks of April. Guess i'm serious because i spent September and October at Cache Creek in Colorado moving 70 buckets of dirt a day into a highbanker. Wouldn't recommend the place, although there is a tiny bit of gold there. And you could get lucky, like the young lady who dug up the "Christmas Tree Nugget" worth about $400 dollars. I was there when she found it. Also know of a canyon on the Blue River in the Apache SitGreaves National Forest where there's supposed to be lots of gold. Headed there after i stop off in Fort Thomas for R&R. If any of that sounds interesting to you, just gimme a PM.

Serious?... My son and I are headed out to AZ, in about 2 weeks via greyhound. I have scoped out 10-12 possible claims, to sample and locate my own. I know little except what i learned in the last year. I am currently in OH. I'd love some company.

Sounds to me like you and the boy are definitely serious about prospecting, you are sure to have a great adventure :icon_thumright:
Hope you do well.

Thanks, Goodguy, The most exciting thing I've ever considered doing. at the same time, scariest thing too! With some help from above we should do just fine. Two weeks from now it will be well underway. I've never been further west than Sherman Texas. I heard that it still is the wild, wild west! At 51, its now or never!
