Hi all, In north central Pa, Potter, Elk counties etc, there were a lot of smaller railroads installed for the lumber boom back in the day. Is there a resource that may have maps or data showing locations on a county wide or state wide basis. My main interest is in the north central region of Pa. Would my best bet be to start at a local level? Thanks in advance.

I would check Historical Societies of that area . Libraries are a good source also .

Looked this up the other day, may be helpful.

again.... Sorry for the Random pics with no real check of quality !

But due to time constraints & the Amount of Maps
I have I just went with the ones that cover that general area.

As you can also see not all are Rail Road Maps.

also as you can see I have a bunch.

if Interested, I would part with them.
but in spite of the fact they are Dog eared, Folded &
copies. not perfect shape, No originals.

I won't let them go for less then $20.00.

Simply because it would probably cost a 3rd of that to ship them. Maybe more.

Well tomorrow is the first day of hunting here in Potter County.. sure is nice to have NO EMI at all to deal with! Hope I find something more interesting than bullets and shell casings but I am thinking YES I WILL!

Back from Conrad PA.. nothing but nails and iron to show for it.. well one copper disk that resembles a coin but is 1" in diameter and perfectly smooth.. no clue what it was.. maybe a knock out from a copper electrical box.. or a rail road token?? Over all very disappointing MDing trip.
Saw a lot of old photos of the village once I got there and it is obvious why it was so trashed with iron.
