They came to these little lakes and campgrounds year after year and generation after generation. They have fished and swam and hiked and hunted, the accessibility and accommodations always improving, if only slightly. They came here for the simplicity of it all, for the pristine and laid back atmosphere. And with them they brought their trinkets, their tools, their toys, their coins and their jewelry. I think sometimes we take our hobby and its pursuit all too seriously and as a result we often miss what's really important life. Good friends, easy times, and a little nostalgia. In Northern Michigan we were looking for lost and we always found it.
