Hello again. I am looking for any info on this guy. He is carved from wood. I find him very interesting. Thank you in advance.

He is 3 3/4" tall, about 1 1/2" across, carved from a 3 1/2" diameter piece of wood. Is he anything or just art?

I'm not so sure about the Smurf connection, as surfs have only four fingers/toes and have a stubby tail, as can be seen here;

Oh, whoops, I guess I should have read the George Good by Beth Barton (with clear typo on "Goerge").
I get so used to ignoring names in listing titles of things that I look at on Etsy (where the it lists "by (sellers name)", that I overlooked it despite it being on eBay. Doh!

I'd have to think that this is related to them, but all I can find is ceramic pieces... Is it possible this was a mold / prototype for them? (I honestly don't know how such things are made).

Benz, I think he made pewter ones too, but couldn't find any wooden ones. Maybe this little guy was the prototype as you said. I saw a ceramic one almost identical to this one. Breezie

He looks like a tomte. Tomten are Icelandic or danish (or similar Northern) Landvaettir or "Land Spirits". In fact, Tomten (singular Tomte) I think, are what Smurfs are based on.
