Hi there everyone!

So, This was my first foray into a 1715 Reale. I did some research prior, AND I made sure to buy from a trusted buyer on ebay.
Having said that, I wanted second opinions. There is a 30 day money back guarantee, and I can always return it.

From what Ive read, the correct weight should be NO LESS than 25.0 on a piece of 8. This weighs exactly 25.0 according to the seller.
Id does come with a Mel fischer COA and it is from Mels uncles collection. numbered. My question is

Would you be concerned about the lack of an outline on the COA?
Would you be concerned about the surface pitting on the coin?

I hope I did not make a fool of myself for a first buy.

Thank you kindly for the help!

The salt water caused that pitting, no worries.

Congrats.

Thanks Tom, Nice ride! Always loved a clean deuce coupe.

I paid 173$ :D but I diddnt want to jinx myself by saying the price.

Looks real from here! Congratualtions it's a beauty! :occasion14:

Dad has a pice of eight from the Atocha that he bought from the fishers

I was a diver for Mel Fisher back in the 80s. Your Cob looks good. Nice OMJ mint mark and assayer. Looks like this cob came out of a clump. Great Florenzada Cross.

That's awesome ! I'd love to have one made into a pendant. The one's available from the Fisher site are a little expensive for me. Any trusted sellers I should check out ? I'd like something from the 1715 fleet.
