hello all
last night while i was working. i'm a manager at a local supermarket. i bought a soda and in my change i heard that familiar silver jingle. i looked down at my hand and saw that i had 3 silver washingtons there. well i looked down in the drawer and saw alot more silver quarters. i asked if i could get a count on the quarters because i wanted to buy them. it came out to 8.75. i split the haul with the cashier and went back to work. after a little while i thought you know there could be more. there was. i got another roll of quarters. apparently there is a women who comes in with change she want's to get paper money for. she know's she is trading in silver coins but doesn't seem to care. all i can say i can't wait to meet her and see if she want's to sell the rest.

Ever play the slot machines at work? Mark your first clad dime or quarter or even nickles (works best on nickles). And then put in a buncha change and hit the return button. Sometimes if you load 20 nickles it'll spit out 4 quarters. Sometimes it'll spit out 20 nickles. I have found a silver dime this way and maybe 3 dozen nickles from the 40's and 50's and one in pretty good shape from 1938. I love the silver more, but nickles, ever since I was a kid are my first love. It sure beats swinging the detector for 3 or 4 hours when it's 20 degrees on a windy beach chopping through sand which is frozen solid for 15 minutes with a hatchet to find this. (hope the pic works)A ring, the initials and design show the ring as a silver souvener from newfoundland. I posted the pic and a guy with the birth name Ozzy Ozbourne asked if he could buy it because his wife was from Newfounland. (I can't remember which but I know this guy said he has the same birthday as "The" Ozzy Ozbourne but was born a year before or after. I'm not sure which?!?) So I liked the forum I posted it on and the guy seemed nice and said he was going to have it repair and resized for his wife so I mailed it to him for $10. Finally this sport is starting to pay off. Just enough money for new batteries and a cheap beer. True story and one of the best ones that I have, weird but true. Jason
