those look like rubles, basically they're worthless. I seem to remember it cost like 3000 rubles for a loaf of bread.
talk about inflation.

Sniffer is right to a certain extent, they aren't worth too much the 10 ruble note is listed at $9.00 au-unc on the link I provided if you search. A little note though, In 1910 a ruble was worth about what an American $10 bill is worth today. A loaf of white bread in 1910 Imperial Russia cost about 8 kopeks which is roughly $8.00 in todays money, black bread cost 5 kopeks. A Kopek is equivalent to an American dollar today.

Very interesting find. It might be more fun to frame it and hang it on the wall than to sell for a few bucks. Nice find. Congrats.
A story my dad told for years about a guy in the midwest driving past a new car dealership. The billboard read, new Cadilac, 3000 rubles. The guy drove home and pulled a bunch of Rubles out of a box he had under his bunk. He had brought a bunch back from the war and had more than enough. He took them down to the dealer and told the salesman that he would take the Cad and he would pay cash. Of course the salesman was delighted until the guy pulls out his 'cash'. Oh, well, we mean american dollars of course, sputtered the salesman, the rubles thing on the sign is just a joke. Well, it was no joke. That is what they advertised and that is what was offered. The guy won in court and drove away in his new Caddy. Dad had lots of these stories. Rest his soul... 9/9/99

It could be worse. Didn't it cost something around 1 billion marks to buy bread in Germany in the late 20's/early 30's?
