Just so you know,These have been on back order at harbor freight for about 4 months now! The final price from harbor freight is 24.99 after shipping an tax. You can get them on amazon for about 26 dollars shipped.

I have one of these from a year ago that serves as a back up,These are made with an internal sensitivity adjustment as well as an external one.Turn the external sens.to mid setting and then crank the internal adjustment knob clockwise until it sounds off and then back it off 1/16th turn until it stops sounding.This gives you more sensitivity adjustment on the outer control knob because you adjusted the internal sensitiviy with the external sensitivity set at center,You can get 2-3 inchs easily with this pinpointer,This is probably the most cheap working pinpointer on the market.This pinpointer was designed without attention to design detail,It screams CHINA made but it was built with alot of focus on the internal components and is by far the best 25 dollars you can spend as far as cheap pinpointers go.
