Long story short, dave and I headed north a bit for some new spots, alot of people weren't home today:BangHead:but made some decent finds at the three permissions we did get, 1925 slq, 1956 roosie, two IH'S, a few wheats and another intact crotal bell! 20140905_205223.jpgthat bell is my favorite find of the day!, thanks for the fun day dave!

That didn't sound right, did you just say that to a man?
A young man with old bells lol. Let me guess if you were with him you'd turn around....and not walk away ha ha

You both made some very nice finds. I loved the flat buttons, and the bell and silvers you found were fantastic. Congrats on a fun and productive day.

Those bells are great and they give such good strong signals on the detectors. An SLQ always makes for a good hunt too.

Nice finds! And a good time was had by all!
Cj- may I suggest 2 pcs of copper wire in your carry bag, cause when old dude finds the big one you may have to shock him back to reality using the wires and your detector battery! Just saying, he gets a little excited!

I showed Chris that little trick you showed me with the coin in the glove and told him it was a one time only price of a SLQ. He said that was a bargain and the one time only price of a ride home was an 1816 English Shilling. You see who kept the SLQ.....

The "trick" has been around a long time. I just got lazy and started keeping one in my glove. It has helped me to locate a little better. Hope it helped.

It's simple but effective, really neat!
