0% if you dont get the coil over the ground....I'd look regardless of any "known" activity that may or may not have been documented there.
 

Also depends if you are referring to the actual war or just time period, I would assume there were people in the area during the civil war so there’s a chance to find things, military related may be a little less likely
 

Have you done any research for that area near big ridge to see if there were any battles fought in that area...??? ??? Lot of the old civil war maps are pretty specific as to where battle lines were located. Maybe even early "soil survey maps" might let you know if anybody was living in that area as well...

Use this link to find historical maps of the area, type the zip code in and it will pull up that area. There are maps scales with dates at the bottom. Big Ridge area shows maps of Maynardille from 1897 and 1900 and Mclean Rock and White Hollow at 1935 after the lake was created.

Most good Civil War stuff is found in "unknown" places, places that aren't on any map. Try to find troop movements then find the camps and picket posts.
