Hello everyone! I used to be called J.cache on here, but I’ve changed my handle to match my social media accounts.
This past week was pretty amazing for me. I detected an old church and found a total of 24 silver coins dating back as far as 1905. (This group shot is missing the last three that I found yesterday).

A local farmer pulled in when I was first there and told me his brother and sister had detected it 20 years ago, so I probably wouldn’t find much. That explained why there really wasn’t anything right near the church. BUT lucky for me they didn’t take the time to grid the entire area further out.
Here’s yesterday’s silver-

Here’s a shot of the area, the red dots are roughly where I found the silver coins. Notice around the church is almost empty, hardly even a penny!

I call this place the Holy Church of Silver, for obvious reasons 😂

Thanks for looking, and good luck this weekend!

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

Looks like the ploughed land to the North West of the Church would be worth trying.
You are wise as always Cru! And the farmer told me that the field just north of the cemetery/trees had the baseball field. He gave me permission to hunt it once he gets his crops off.

Congrats on your silver haul. Nice of them to leave you some morsels. LOL
Thank! Who knows, maybe the part where most of the the silver was didn’t get mowed back when the other detectorists were there. 👍

The pile of coppers must be pretty large as well. Grats and thanks for the post!
Being so close to the border, when I find cents from that era there are almost always IH and Wheat cents. I’ve only found very few Canadian large cents in the 14 years I’ve been detecting. Here’s a pic of all the rest of the goods from this spot!

Beautiful site and finds.

Nice spot you have there and, yes, I'd do the whole thing over from the opposite directions and of course work the other areas.
The ball diamond could be really hot. LUCK next timeout and HH ALL
Thanks, and yes I gridded everything north/south, and then east/west, and then from an angle as well.

I cannot wait for the field to be ploughed! The only spot I didn’t go was within the cemetery fence. The farmer told me it was ok if I did, but I don’t want to be disrespectful to the people buried, or their families. Plus I don’t need any curses really 😆

Congrats on the picture full of silver, and the tray of recoveries.
Now that's a lovely site to be hunting at, and the potential of even more once the crops come off. What is it planted in now?
Have you done the tree line between the field and the lawn as of yet?
Many times these are overlooked as it's not the easy pickings of others that have detected previously.

WELL DONE thanks for posting
